Specially Selected Pork is the brand representing product from the Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) Quality Assurance scheme. 

Around 95% of pigs in Scotland are covered by the scheme which ensures livestock is reared to Farm Assurance Standards which provide traceability and modern, professional farming practices. 

The Assurance Standards underpinning the brand ensure the highest in animal health and welfare by including the Scottish SPCA in the inspection process.  Other key areas of the supply chain including animal feed, hauliers and slaughtering plants are included in the process to ensure a whole-chain approach.
